Painting pictures of interiors has seemed the natural progression from painting Still Life and Portraits. They are a bit of both in one. They may easily indicate more that a persons face would, at room with out the owners character would be the equivalent of a poker face
The Blue Drawing Room at Chatsworth is blue no more. The silk has been taken down and the walls repainted and paintings have been changed for ones from the collection of the present Duke. Change is always on its way.
Miss Taylor at Whites. This painting was done to commemorate the retirement of Miss Taylor who was well known and much admired by the Members of the club.
WT painting in the coffee room of Whites, or what some would call the dinning room. Women are never seen inside the doors of this grand old gents club.
